The four of us loved this charming and beautifully authentic apartment. Everything was well prepared and clean. Moneglia is a truly Italian and welcoming village. From the apartment you can easily walk to the center for a good meal. The town center and train station are also within walking distance. The host is very helpful and kind. I also got to take a lovely yoga class by the sea at an ancient ruin — highly recommended!

Moneglia is a cozy seaside town, and during our stay we easily visited Sestri Levante, Levanto and Bonassola by train. If we go back to Moneglia, we would definitely stay in Gero's apartment again.

We booked both of Gero's apartments for 6 nights — one for our daughter and her friend, and the other for us. The apartments are stacked one above the other, so we had the perfect mix of privacy and togetherness. Let's start from the beginning: when we booked the first apartment a year ago, we had no idea how fantastic it would be. After a year of waiting, the moment had finally arrived. Everything was perfect. Gero is a born host: always there when you need him, and out of the way when you need privacy. Both apartments are incredibly beautiful and carefully furnished — you can really feel the work and passion behind them. The location is perfect, in a quiet spot. We parked our car in the designated spot and it stayed there for our whole stay. Moneglia is easy to explore on foot, and the region by train. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful apartment that is spotless and lovingly furnished. Homegrown lemons as a welcome gift, delicious! A lovely terrace in front of the house, where we ate pizza in the evenings (5 min from a pizzeria) and drank Gero's homemade limoncello. Gero was totally friendly and fun. The location is about 10 minutes to cafés, restaurants and the beach, and a few minutes to the train. We were there with our 3-year-old son, no problem at all — there was even an extra bed prepared for him. With our big car and Gero's help, we also managed the narrow roads to the parking spot :) We would come back anytime!

We stayed for 4 nights with our small child and a big car at Gero's place. We were very positively surprised by the cleanliness and quality of the apartment. A parking spot in the area is also worth a lot. We were at the station with the stroller in 7 minutes, from where it's just a few stops to the Cinque Terre or to nice neighbouring villages. Gero is really great — we felt very comfortable from minute one, and he helped us with everything and was quick and easy to reach.

We had a lovely stay at Gero's place. The apartment is beautiful, recently and tastefully done up, uncluttered yet has everything in it. We also appreciated that the place was well stocked with various consumables (coffee, dishwasher tablets, shampoo etc). We loved our breakfasts on the terrace. The location is good: it is a residential street, but only a short walk from shops and the sea. Although you can hear the trains a bit, it is not too bad (did not keep us awake at night), and I suspect this is the case in much of Moneglia. Gero was a great host, responding to our messages immediately, accommodating our requests, and generally going the extra mile. We'd love to come back one day.

Gero was a wonderful host, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa del Manente. The house was delightful, a beautiful spot, 5 minutes walk to the town centre with coffee shops, eateries, boutiques and restaurants and the most beautiful Moneglia beach! The train station is also under 10 minutes walk to the apartment which is very convenient. Gero was very generous and accommodated us with beach towels, home grown lemons and oranges. The house was immaculate with a large bedroom and bathroom and spectacular views. The space is just superb with your own outside area for lunches and dinners. Brand new bathroom and kitchen made it very comfortable. If we could give this six stars, we would! We had such a beautiful experience in moneglia and will be definitely going back soon!!

Gero's place is gorgeous. i mean, really, it is really really good. wait, lets be clear: it is in the top 3 air bnb i have been (and i surf airbnb since more than 10 years!!) Gero waited for us till 9pm even if i was supposed to be there ar 6pm. Always responsive and super nice. There is a provate parking very close by. You can go to Moneglia beach and city center by walking (no need car anymore if you stay. But the apartment is an absolute must: new woden floor, stone walls, new kitchen, amazing reno. Really well done, from an architectural point of view. very cozy. and ther is a shaded area outside for intimate home made dinners. I wish i stayed more.

Communication with Gero was smooth and fast. On arrival, Gero was waiting outside for us and helped with our luggage. He gave us a clear tour of the apartment. He then gave us instructions about the parking garage, a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. The apartment itself was clean and tidy. Everything you need is there. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. The beach, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay with Gero. Gero was always ready to help. Everything was great! The apartment offered by Gero is very pleasant, perfectly clean and well located, close to the beach and shops. The parking space is also an essential asset! Gero is warm and made sure our stay went as well as possible :) and we thank him for that. We had a car and were at a good distance from the towns we wanted to visit (Genoa 1h, the Cinque Terre 1h, Sestri Levante 30 minutes). Otherwise, Moneglia is a charming little seaside resort that we will be happy to return to.

Highly recommended! We arrived very late and were greeted by a smiling host. The apartment has been renovated tastefully with lovely details and everything you need. Thick stone walls keep the apartment cool, and the small outdoor area has cooling shade for much of the day. We didn't miss a thing! Short distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and the train station. Yet it's a little outside the town centre, so quiet and peaceful. Gero was the perfect host, who gave us oranges from his own garden, brought an umbrella to the door when it rained, and gave us great tips for things to do in the area. We'd love to come back!

Highly recommended! As of 2025 the apartment is new and renovated. It's very clean, cosy and stylish. It's on the ground floor and step-free. The kitchen island makes for comfortable cooking and eating. Air conditioning in the living room and bedroom keeps the temperature pleasant. Facing windows and doors allow for a nice breeze. Nets on the windows keep insects out. There's also a small terrace with a table and chairs. The bed is comfortable and not too soft. We would book this apartment again. We were welcomed by the owner Gero, who is very nice and likeable. Gero organised a private parking spot nearby for us and even helped with the luggage. Gero responded quickly to our requests. Be sure to follow Gero's instructions regarding driving there. Google Maps took us down a very narrow road, the SP68, which is very difficult to drive on when meeting oncoming traffic. Use the SP55 instead, it's good.
